As the next generation grew, they too bought lots and, in due course, built their own homes. Upon their return the boys began to purchase property on Spectacle Lake.Ĭaptivated by the Lake and wanting to continue the family tradition, Emma secretly saved her money and bought an adjacent lot for her family. All 5 boys fought in World War II and, luckily, all 5 survived. David and Hanna had 7 children 2 girls and 5 sons. One of David’s sons and the owner’s father, Don Peterson, married his wife, Emma, in the early 1940s. Enchanted by the bounty and magnificence the area had to offer, David bought property on Spectacle Lake. The family is firmly rooted in the history and tradition of the region.ĭavid Peterson, the owner’s grandfather, grew up in the County.
